The ClimbThe boy yelled as the rock beneath his feet gave way again, and he tumbled down the steep face in a whirl of soil, rock and human. He bashed against the face and the falling rock, and even more bruises began to appear all over his body. His landing was sudden as with a sickening thump he thudded into the grassy verge below. Rocks trickled all around him, and soil mixed with his dark hair. Groaning, he forced himself to get up and face the rock wall again. But all he could make himself do was stare at it for a few moments, after which he turned, tears streaming down his face. He swooped down on a loose stone, fallen froThe Climb

Stranger The barman looked up as the tavern door swung open. The daylight shining into the haze of pipe and cigar smoke silhouetted a tall man with broad shoulders, though the rest of his build and characteristics where hidden by a wide- brimmed hat and a long coat of worn brown leather that fell to the mans ankles.
